Wilbur Buds, The Original Kiss
The Wilbur Buds are a chocolate delight in the “kiss” style- a classic type of 19th century candy still made in Pennsylvania. Wilbur’s neighbor, Milton Hershey, made his own version of the Buds- he used the generic name “Kiss.” Available in milk or dark chocolate. 8 oz heat-sealed bag with the history on the label.
A Bit of History
The first chocolate kiss in the U.S.A., made in 1894, when Milton Hershey was a caramel maker. H. O. Wilbur started the company in 1865 in Pennsylvania where the bud is still made today! The milk chocolate was made by Daniel Peter, the chocolatier who discovered how to make milk chocolate.
