Feisty Chocolate Covered Mint Julep Balls
From Kentucky, a mingling of whiskey and mint flavors enrobed with rich, dark chocolate. The mint julep drink originated in Virginia then found a home in Kentucky where it became the official drink of the Kentucky Derby. During Prohibition, restaurant owners compensated for revenues lost because of the ban on alcohol by selling after-dinner candy. Many were flavored like alcohol or named after specific drinks. Either way, it tasted great. Contains six candies in an elegant truffle box with the history on the tag.
