Mastic Resin

The mastic resin has a woody taste and firm texture which, like all chewed resins, scraped plaque from the teeth and  aided the gums, among other benefits. Allow to warm in your mouth and chew, store in a clean wrapper, and chew again. Comes with 20-30 drops, in a bag with the history on the label.

A Bit of History

Throughout history, people have chewed resins for their medicinal value,  ability to clean teeth and heal dental problems, and flavor. The mastic stands as apart as the first gum in written history – also used as incense. This resin comes from the island of Chios, off the coast of Greece, and one of the few places where the mastic grows.

Now then, if thou hast seen her, tell me, Under what tree sawest thou them companying together? Who answered, Under a mastick tree. – Susanna 1:54
