A Bit of History
Invented in 1873 by a British pharmacist living in Wisconsin, malted milk was originally intended as a health food for infants and invalids. Mothers didn’t give it to their infants, but explorers soon discovered the malted milk: it even became a staple on trips to the North and South Poles. Eventually, the inventor became so wealthy, he helped fund expeditions.
