Originally made by Clarence Crane, father of Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Hart Crane, in 1912. They started as a fun, festive candy, became popular candy at saloons, where people bought them to hide the smell of whiskey on their breath, and ended up in Grandmothers’ purses. Comes in groups of three – select from peppermint, spearmint, cherry or iconic butter rum.
