A Bit of History
Created in 1893 in Pennsylvania, this candy is the oldest brand in the U.S. Choo-Choo Charlie may be one reason: the ad was created in 1950 with a jingle based on the Ballad of Casey Jones, a real life railroad engineer. As for Charlie: he was based on a football player the company owner knew in college.
