A Bit of History

Sugar Daddy’s were part of an entire family of candies, complete with Sugar Mommas and Sugar Babies, fist made in 1927 by James O. Welch company. The two Welch brothers also made the 1940s hit the Junior Miss. The pair split up when one brother left the company and became an activist in the John Birch Society. Originally called called the “Papa Sucker.”
