A Bit of History

Also known as Jordan Almonds, the dragees originated in the Mideast about 2,000 years ago. They became popular in Europe around the 16th century and enjoyed by European Americans, as well. The almond was used at weddings and other events, known as a symbol of good beginnings since it was the first tree to flower in spring. Imported from France.
