Art Candy is a sweet, classic confection that’s enjoyed for its beautiful festive design as much as for its flavor! One pound in four individually-sealed stay-fresh bags, tied with a ribbon and the history on the label.
A Bit of History
Art candy originated at beach-side resorts in the late 1800s in England. There, hotels would put their image and name on the candy and sell bags as souvenirs. In the U.S., art candy was tasty and decorative with images of fruits and flowers, and found a special home in grandmothers’ candy bowls from the 1920s to the late 1960s.
